Progress Monitoring Plans (PMP)
Replace AIPs
The A++ Bill has
developed provisions for the new Progress Monitoring Plans (PMP) for
students who fail to meet state and district performance levels in
reading and/or math. UTD has been assured there will be no increase in
paperwork requirements by teachers, who will have fewer requirements
than with AIPs.
Under the PMP
requirements, teachers will continue to:
- identify
students not meeting performance standards in reading/math
- conduct
evaluations
- implement
interventions for appropriate students
- notify parents
if students fail to make progress
- administer
district-wide Interim Assessments for K-3 students in October,
January, April
- modify
instruction based on results of Interim Assessments
- re-evaluate
students
- make
recommendations for future instruction based on collected data
All schools will be receiving the
implementation plan. For clarification or questions, contact UTD’s
