Certification Bonuses: We received email notification on Friday,
June 5, 2009, that the 15% holdback in state funds has now been
released.

National Board Certified Teachers get bonuses -
The Florida Department of Education says the cash for teacher
bonuses has been sent to school districts and is ready to be
paid out. More than 12,000 teachers have earned
prestigious certification from the National Board for
Professional Teachers Standards and will consequently receive a
bonus check of about $5,000.
The bonuses were supposed to go out in January, but were delayed
because of the state's financial problems.
